The Monster in Coventry: our 2024 family visit

The monster inflatable obstacle course

Historical review: first published 23 August 2024, covering The Monster at Coventry Building Society Arena. This touring event is not a permanent attraction at that venue. Prices, activities and family sessions below describe the original visit.

The monster inflatable obstacle course

What was there on the day

Our original report described the inflatable obstacle course alongside other inflatable areas and a computer-game section with PlayStation 5 consoles. The children had plenty to do and were tired by the journey home. Those details should not be read as an inventory for a different date or venue.

Staff and the experience around the course

The report noted staff stationed around the course to help and direct participants. When a child took a tumble, staff helped them off the course, reunited them with their parents and involved the on-site medical team. That is an observation from the visit, not a general safety certification or a guarantee about future events.

Food and the budget at the time

The visit report described slushies, snacks, hot food and free water stations. It recorded £10 child and £15 adult tickets in August 2024, with family tickets available. These are historical figures, not a current quote. Check food arrangements, water access and the full cost of your chosen session before travelling.

Check a specific session before taking children

The organiser’s website is the starting point for current events. Its listings can include adult-focused sessions, so do not assume that a ticket or date is suitable for the whole family. Check the exact age and height limits, adult supervision requirements, accessibility arrangements and any participation restrictions.

Confirm the venue and date rather than travelling to the Coventry arena on the strength of this old review. Read the cancellation terms and check what the ticket includes. If an essential detail is missing, ask the organiser before buying.

Our verdict on that visit

The original family verdict was positive, particularly the range of activities and the staff response we observed. Whether another event is worthwhile depends on its actual programme and your family’s needs. The previous “world’s largest” and all-ages claims have been removed because neither is necessary to describe our visit accurately.
