Ok so I have just seen this and think its a great idea, and really good way to strengthen a bedtime routine on the run up to Christmas.
Essentially what we will do is wrap 25 books and open up one every night to read to your kids before bed.
If you want to add a little fun or you don’t want to wrap them all maybe put them in a bag and pull one out each night, Or what I intend on doing is writing a Christmas letter from Santa to say “he has hidden a bed time surprise, for good children who go straight to sleep”
This can get expensive, IF you buy new books from the store. However I will be going to a few local charity shops as they usually have a good stock for cheap enough.
REMEMBER
- if you have more than one child that it maybe possible to buy books and read to them both at the same time to save a few pennies.
- Christmas books will help your kids feel festive and full of cheer
- its a great and nice way to spend that little extra time with your kids, books don’t have to be big just short stories
- they Don’t have to be books, there are plenty of free sites where you can download short stories and books, that you could simply print off and read.
Apologies I know it’s only November, but this is one you need to get sorted before the 1st!
Dare I say…….MERRY CHRISTMAS???
No!!! We will leave that for December 🙂
